Inside the home
- Clear kitchen and bathroom counters, put away laundry and remove loose cables.
- Make beds, straighten seating and tidy the rooms being photographed.
- Clean visible floors, mirrors and glass. Keep doorways and walking routes clear.
Light and finishing touches
- Replace burned-out bulbs where practical and turn on the lights.
- Open curtains and blinds neatly. Turn off TVs and ceiling fans.
- Close toilet lids and put everyday toiletries and cleaning supplies away.
Outside
- Move cars and bins away from the main frontage where practical.
- Tidy the entrance, patio and yard; put away hoses, toys and tools.
- Tell us about outdoor features, detached buildings and areas you want included.
Privacy, access and tours
- Put personal paperwork, valuables and security information out of view.
- Confirm permission to access every area being photographed or scanned.
- Secure pets and tell us about tenants, contractors or deliveries.
- For a tour, prepare the full route between rooms, not just individual camera angles.
